Tanisha James is an award-winning mergers & acquisitions and antitrust lawyer, investor, VC ecosystem builder, board members, advisor, diversity champion, writer, speaker and coach. Most recently, she served as an equity partner at Cooley LLP. Her over 15 years of practice centered on guiding corporate clients through domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, and other strategic combinations. She daily partnered with corporate leaders as a trusted advisor offering legal and strategic guidance on day-to-day business operations and plans.

Tanisha has a proven track record, contributing to significant deals across various industries, including tech, life sciences, media, software, fintech, and more. Notable transactions include Turning Point's $4.1B acquisition, Looker's $2.6B acquisition by Google, and Meredith Corporation's $2.8B acquisition of Time, Inc.
